Art events and exhibitions for adults confronting social marginalization. Palazzolo founded this project to foster civic engagement by increasing opportunities for social agency, equity and bonding with local communities and institutions. Partnerships include: BronxWorks, The Moth, Bronx Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Open Source Gallery, School of Visual Arts, Guggenheim Museum, New York Foundation for the Arts, Baltic Street Resource and Wellness Center, and Museum of Modern Art. Due to COVID-related issues programing is temporarily suspended.

2016-2012 healing arts initiative studio and gallery

Community art studio and gallery with adults from socially marginalized communities; approx. 75 members. Vast strides were made in a few years, objective goals exceeded expectations. The work effort and synergy was often referred to as an artistic empowerment zone.





2012-1999 hai studio and gallery

Community art studio and gallery with adults diagnosed with serious mental health issues; approx. 50 members. Located on Broadway, NYC, in a colossal Soho loft. The program took place every Saturday throughout the headquarters of hai. Eventually, program activities spread to six days a week.

Community art studio with adults diagnosed with serious mental health issues. Primary focus of studio was to make experimental films.
